Surface smoothness is achieved not only through workmanship but also through the particle size distribution in the formulation.

Satin plaster is the finest-grained type of plaster used in surface preparation before painting. The smooth and silky finish after application depends directly on the particle size distribution and the type of binder used in the formulation.

A high-quality satin plaster consists of particles smaller than 0.2 mm and possesses a high degree of whiteness. This not only reduces paint consumption but also covers micro-imperfections on the surface, creating a flawless appearance.

During application, the surface must be completely dry, and the previous layer must have fully set. Otherwise, “mat–gloss” tone differences may appear after painting. Professionals always achieve the best aesthetic results by applying thin, even layers.
