The key to preventing cracking in gypsum board systems is a low-shrinkage, high-elasticity joint filler material.

Joint filler plaster not only ensures aesthetics but also structural integrity in gypsum board systems. Since even minor thermal expansion at the joints can cause cracking, the filler material used must exhibit high elasticity.
A quality joint filler plaster minimizes volume loss during drying thanks to its binder composition. It also adheres strongly to the surface and provides a smooth finish after sanding.
The most critical aspect of application is working in combination with corner profiles and mesh joint tapes. This system enhances resistance to structural movement and prevents the formation of microcracks on the surface after painting.
